My Journey to Integrative Healing

My path began in theatre and film, but it was my own experiences of navigating adversity, change and healing that ultimately led me towards this work.

Following a series of life-changing experiences, yoga, movement and psychotherapy became powerful tools for helping me reconnect with myself — not only physically, but emotionally and psychologically.

These practices offered me a way to cultivate resilience, process stress and trauma held within the body, and rediscover a sense of grounding, freedom, and joy.

Over time, this personal journey evolved into a deep commitment to supporting others through their own experiences of healing and transformation.

An Integrative & Compassionate Approach

I began training as a yoga teacher in 2011 and later qualified as a Yoga Therapist and Integrative Psychotherapist. My work brings together contemporary psychotherapy, nervous system regulation, somatic awareness, breathwork, movement, and the therapeutic wisdom of yoga.

Alongside my professional training, my lived experience as a single mother raising three children — including caring for a child with profound and complex disabilities — has deeply shaped my understanding of stress, resilience, identity, caregiving, and the emotional demands of everyday life.

As a woman of colour, I also recognise how culture, belonging, visibility, and lived experience can shape the way we move through the world and relate to ourselves and others. These experiences continue to inform the compassion, openness, and inclusivity I aim to bring to my work.

I support adults, young people, and children experiencing anxiety, depression, overwhelm, trauma, grief, low self-worth, attachment difficulties, and life transitions. I also work with women navigating experiences such as pregnancy, pelvic health, menopause, caregiving, identity shifts, and the changing seasons of life.

My work is also informed by supporting people living with chronic illness and neurological conditions, as well as my own lived experience of MS, which has deepened my appreciation for the close relationship between physical health, emotional wellbeing, and the nervous system.

Creating Space for Healing

Whether working within schools, healthcare settings, charities, or from my home studio, Shala Yoga Haven, my intention is always the same: to create a calm, compassionate, and non-judgemental space where you feel safe enough to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and explore meaningful change.

My approach is person-centred and guided by your individual needs, experiences, and pace. I see therapy as a collaborative journey — one where I walk alongside you with curiosity, compassion, and care, supporting you to better understand yourself and reconnect with your own inner strengths and wisdom.

Alongside this, I continue to explore the integration of Internal Family Systems, parts work, and somatic practice within my work. I have found this gentle yet profound approach can support deep healing and meaningful shifts, particularly for those carrying complex or long-held experiences.

It is a process of healing from the inside out — discovering new ways to relate to ourselves with greater compassion, curiosity, and understanding — a path I continue to grow in both personally and alongside the clients I work with.

A space where all parts of you are welcome.
